Originally called Baronet Films, Baronet Media was renamed in 1979 to better reflect the evolving nature of visual mediums and our intention to be a part of new technologies. Baronet Media is a loose association of several school friends. This group includes Bruce Dixon, Martin Barrett, Dan Gross (H. Daniel Gross) and John Merica. Many others have been involved in our activities over the years, of course.

Our second major project was The Deli Connection in 1979. It won second place in the Motgomery County Student Film Festival
Our third big project was The Connection: WPFW in Washington in 1981. It won first place in Montgomery County and placed in the Maryland State Film Festival.
Our video to accompany the song "American Pie" in 1983 impressed our college professor. He said it was the best student project he had ever seen.
We have experience working with many media formats. Film formats include Regular8, Super8, 16mm. 1/2" video including VHS, Betamax, Betacam, Digibeta. Other media formats include 3/4" U-Matic, 1" Type C , and the 3 DV formats DVCAM & DVCPro. Obsolete formats include 1/2" EIAJ, 1" IVC and Ampex Type A. We've also produced CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs.
